Nursing is one of the most dynamic, challenging, and rewarding career options available to men and women. We are leading the way to prepare future nurses to meet the demands of an expanding health care workplace.
Centrally located at the heart of the Indiana Life Sciences Initiative on the Indianapolis campus, we have programs at IU in Bloomington and Columbus. Our alliance with nationally recognized health care facilities helps us stay at the forefront of a changing health care landscape—one that has increasing opportunities for qualified nursing graduates.
Today, there are many different opportunities for nurses that did not exist a decade ago, such as research, administration, business, corporate wellness, community programs, and policy making—in addition to the traditional patient care. Our resources and relationships with many hospitals and businesses help prepare students to take full advantage of these opportunities. Nursing2000, a not-for-profit organization focusing on the promotion, education and advancement of nursing careers, is a great source of information.
